Michigan Youth Theater

homeschool-theater Michigan Youth Theater will be holding auditions for their spring production of Breath Of Spring; a comedy written by Peter Coke and directed by Lisa Melinn. Anyone age 12-19 can audition or be a part of the tech team.  While this group is inclusive, it is very popular with homeschooled teens.

WHERE:  Auditions and rehearsals at Birmingham Unitarian Church (BUC) 38651 Woodward Avenue, Bloomfield Hills MI 48304
Performances at Older Persons’ Commission (OPC), 650 Letica Drive, Rochester MI 48307

WHEN: Auditions on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, 6:00-9:00 pm
Rehearsals will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-9:00 pm, March 27 through May 10, then EVERY DAY during tech/performance week from May 12 through May 20.
Performances on May 18, 19 and 20.

HOW:   Preregister for auditions. There is no cost but it helps us to know how many people to expect. Send an email to  info@nullmichiganyouththeater.org stating the following:

  • Teen’s name, age and sex
  • Parent/guardian’ s name
  • Phone number and email
  • Indicate whether teen wants to act or do tech (sound/lights)

WHY:   Because it is fun!

You must be a member of MYT to participate in a show.

MYT Membership $25 per child (up to $75)
Registration Fee $20 per child (non-refundable)
Script Fee $15 per child
Show Fee $95 per child
