Black Light Dance II in Hartland

DJ Sam Johnson of The Dance Project will be spinning the tracks at the Blacklight Dance this weekend.

The Dance Project is a joint effort between students and parents to promote fun dancing, self respect and leadership for purity, freedom and glory.  Events are open to the public and particularly popular with homeschool teens in the Metro Detroit area.

“Our mission is to change the culture by promoting positive dancing. We host community dances for 9th grade and up, with awesome themes, ridiculous decorations, and scrumptious refreshments.”, says the Dance Project coordinators.

Refreshments will be provided and admission is $5 at the door, with music and dance instruction provided by DJ Sam Johnson Services. East Coast Swing will add a new twist to current swing dancing moves. And special guest instructors will also share some cool, new line dances including the Biker Hustle, and Freak Feet. Attendees are encouraged to wear “something that looks awesome in UV light”, but must follow the dress code of “the top of your clothes don’t come too low and the bottoms don’t come too high.” Get creative, go bold, and remember the highlighters!

Date: Saturday, January 21
Time: 8-11 pm
Location: Hartland, MI
Admission: $5
Open to: Grades 7+
