DIA Homeschool Meeting
If you’re a homeschooling family and love the DIA, this is amazing news for you! The DIA is in the process of planning its programming for next year and is inviting homeschool parents in the Metro Detroit area to come out and give their input.
From the official email:
I am the Head of Interpretive Programs for the Detroit Institute of Arts, and I am writing to thank you for your interest in the development of homeschool resources and museum visit opportunities at the DIA.
As we plan for next year, I invite you to join me and Jennifer Czajkowski (Executive Director of the DIA’s Division of Learning & Interpretation) for a meeting at the DIA on Saturday, June 23 from 10 am to noon (an informal conversation with light refreshments). We would like to talk with you and other homeschool educators to gather your thoughts about the kinds of resources you would like to see the DIA offer to homeschool students and their families. Please think about the factors that would help us facilitate an effective homeschool visit to the DIA and the types of resources you could best make use of where you teach. We will take the resulting information into consideration as we shape the DIA homeschool program.
Thank you again for your interest in the Detroit Institute of Arts, and I look forward to meeting you on June 23 should your schedule allow. I ask you to RSVP, so please do at this email address. I hope to see you on the 23rd.
With Best Regards,
