Free Tutoring in Reading Offered

Vel Jaje, a former certified teacher and homeschool mom, is interested in offering 12-15 FREE tutoring sessions in reading to 2-3 children. This is a free program with no future obligation of any kind; no material fees or hidden costs.

The approach that will be utilized is called EBLI—Evidence Based Literacy Instruction. For specific information regarding the program, please visit the website. The program is designed to help children (and adults) attain reading fluency, comprehension, and spelling improvement in an average of 12 hours of targeted instruction. It is a systematic, phonics-like program that has proven to be successful with struggling learners.

Tutoring will be located at the public library or at Vel Jaje’s home in Macomb Township. A parent is welcome to observe.
