Art Lessons in Richmond

The Dorah Art Academy is offering classes for young artists.

Where: 69273 North Main Street, Richmond

Young Rembrandts:
When: Wednesdays 10am-11:30 am or 3:30pm-5pm
April 10, 17, 24 May 1, 8, 15, 29 June 5, 12, 19, 26
Cost: $15 drop in fee or 5 classes for $60
A small art pack is required.

Each week a new Master artist will be introduced in a short presentation. Students are then given the opportunity to create a piece of art based on the artist and techniques presented. Students will be exposed to the rich history of arts and apply them creatively each class.

Kids Project
When: April 2, 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Cost: $15
For ages 8 and up. Come have some fun while creating your own master piece. All materials provided.

Alec LaCasse Wood Carving Demonstration
When: April 6, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Cost: $5 or $10 max per family

The demonstration will cover the basic elements of sculpting the human face in found wood, as well as a brief overview of the tools and wood used.

Have the first chance to sign up for a really cool soap carving class. Space limited.

Mother’s Day Project
When: May 4, 10:00 am – 11:30 am

Make your mother a very special mother’s day gift and have lots of fun too!!
Cost: $15 – materials provided

Lindsey Clair

Lindsey Clair is a homeschooling mother of three daughters. She is married to her best friend Ron where he is currently a Solutions Engagement Supervisor for the State of Michigan at UPS. Lindsey possesses a degree in Child Development and just completed her BS degree in business marketing with a social media concentration. She is currently a professional blogger and freelance writer for multiple sites and enjoys working from home while homeschooling her children. Lindsey is also a musician. She currently plays the piano and flute and sings. She was formerly the children's director at her parent's church as well as on the praise and worship team. Lindsey's hobbies include reading, shopping, blogging, and hanging out with family and friends.
