Gym Games and More at the Harbor for Homeschoolers-Taylor

Great news! The Harbor Arts and Rec Center in Taylor is working toward creating a homeschool group, with the goal being for a variety of classes to start in the Fall 2014 semester.

In the meantime, The Harbor will welcome homeschoolers in Kindergarten – 12th grade for gym games on select Fridays from 12:30PM to 2:30PM. The first event will be on Friday, January 24th. A calendar with future dates will be put together after that, depending on how often everyone would like to get together.

Harbor staff will lead activities such as basketball, kickball, volleyball, floor hockey, line tag, the “cha-cha slide” and more. If there are enough kids, there may be different activities for kids of different ages.

Parents do need to remain on site, and will be able to socialize with each other while the kids are playing.

The Harbor is generously offering these gym games days for only $2 per child, per week, with a maximum of $5 per family, per week.

Families may pay at the door. Feel free to spread the word! The more kids, the more likely they can get a new homeschool group off the ground!
