Youth Theater Fall Workshop and Registration-Clarkston

6 Stools & a Folding Chair Youth Theater (aka Drama Club) will begin their 13th year on September 16th with theater and musical theater workshops.  The workshops will be held each week and are for ages 5/6 through 19  years.

This year, the workshops will consist of make up/hair and characterizations, development of stage dance skills, and musical theater history.  Some participants at the high school level may have the opportunity to sign up for directing workshops, costuming, and set design.  They will be covering musical theater terminology and they will also have field trips planned at professional theaters.  The students will also have the opportunity to talk with an Equity (professional) actor and stage manager.  They also plan to make it available for older students to attend live professional theater performances at an additional cost.

They also offer voice lessons (for an additional cost) before and after their meeting time and at other times during the week.  Beginner and advanced lessons are available.  Costs vary.

For the full year, dues are $60 if paid the first day of workshop.  This fee covers the spring musical as well.

For those who register before September 5th, dues are discounted to $50.

For students joining in January for spring musical auditions, the dues will be $75.

Payment plans for multiple students from one family are available.  Scholarships are also available.  All dues are applied directly to the production costs, scripts, rights, costumes, props, etc.  They are completely non-profit.
