SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium Kicks off Search for Young Environmentalists-Auburn Hills
SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium, the 35,000-square-foot aquarium set to open in Great Lakes Crossing Outlets in early 2015, announced that it is hosting a contest to select 12 Michigan children to join its Young Environmentalist Panel. The Young Environmentalists will serve as student ambassadors and help educate the community about SEA LIFE’s local and global conservation efforts. SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium General Manager Hayley Townsend made the announcement.
“Our goal at SEA LIFE is to not only educate guests about the importance of conservation, but to actually inspire them to take an active role in the environmental protection mission,” said Townsend. “The Young Environmentalist panel will help us engage the support of the Michigan community through the passionate young people who will be the future protectors of our waters.”
