Do you find winter too cold to go bird watching? You can bring the birds closer! Chickadees, nuthatches, juncos, and purple finches are just a few species they will focus on. Setting up a feeding station is just one of the possibilities! Learn what seed to offer, the type of feeder to hang, and a variety of suet recipes you can make. They’ll also delve into behaviors to watch for and bird sounds to listen for. You’ll attend an informative presentation, visit their bird feeding station, then have the option to go on a birding hike. Bird feeders are a wonderful seasonal gift choice, so the folks over at the Leslie Science and Nature Center will also be ready to help you choose the right ones for your bird-watching friends and family! Space is limited, and preregistration is required.
