Maple Sugaring at Cass Benton 3/12 & 3/19-Northville

Did you know that March is maple-sugaring month here in Michigan?  Enjoy a maple-sugaring event at Cass Benton in Northville where there is actually a historic sugar bush.  They will share the history of maple sugaring and take a short hike into the woods for a tree-tapping demonstration.  Enjoy pancakes with the “real thing” afterwards!  The park is located off of Northville Road, north of Six Mile Road.  Meet at the picnic shelter.  The program is outdoors and the trails may be muddy, so dress accordingly for this event.  All ages are welcome though the trails are not stroller friendly.

When: March 12th and 19th.  Register for 10:00 am or noon.  The event runs for 1.5 hours.

For more information such as program cost, etc., please contact the Wayne County Parks Nankin Mills Interpretive Center at 734-261-1990.
