Oakland Homeschool Music Orientation/Open House 8/29-8/30-Waterford

Oakland Homeschool Music is SE Michigan’s premiere homeschool music organization, serving 360 students K-12 at 2 branches last year. If you are interested in a quality music education for your homeschooler taught by experienced staff who have degrees in music/music education, and/or college level music training, OHMI is the place to be. They are a 501c3 non-profit organization, not a privately owned business.
They offer classes for pre-K through high school, beginning through advanced levels. Classes are: 4 levels of Band, Orchestra, and Choir, Young Strings, 3 levels of guitar, and 2 levels of Elementary Music Class. The HS level groups have received Excellent and Superior ratings at District and State Festivals. In the summer they offer a summer musical theatre class, performing a full length Broadway production at a performing arts center.
OHMI meets weekly on Mondays in Waterford and Tuesdays in Troy. They encourage parents to get students involved at an early age to reap the most benefit from music training, which multiple studies have shown to enhance academic studies.
Join us them this coming Monday at 7 pm at the Waterford branch – Grace Chapel – 2515 N. Williams Lake Rd. Waterford, MI 48327 or Tuesday at 7 pm at the Troy branch – Zion Christian Church – 3668 S. Livernois, Troy, Mi 48083 to see what our program is about, and what it can offer to your family.
