Solo & Ensemble Festival for Homeschooled Students 3/11

Solo & Ensemble Festival for Homeschooled Students 3/11

Youth Arts Coalition, in conjunction with Oakland Homeschool Music and Lansing Homeschool Music Association are hosting a Solo & Ensemble Festival for homeschooled students. OHMI & HSMA have been attending this Festival for a few years, but this year it is open to ANY homeschooled student. This festival was developed 3 years ago when MSBOA (Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association) decided that homeschoolers could no longer participate in their festivals because they were homeschooled. Students can participate on any instrument, including piano or vocal.

Youth Arts Coalition Solo and Ensemble Festivals is on March 11, 2017. This festival is open to all homeschool students and private school students who do not participate in MSBOA Festival, Instrumentalists, pianists, and vocalists may all participate. You may choose between the Clinic Track (For basic evaluation and feedback from the judge) and the Honors Track (specified repertoire with proficiencies, evaluation, and feedback, and the chance to qualify for the Honors Recital and Concerto Competition and/or the State Honors Orchestra performing at the INCH Conference.) Please read all of the rules carefully, and to be sure to register no later than February 21st!
