Raising Monarch Butterflies @ Red Oaks Nature Center 6/17-Madison Heights

One of the most fascinating butterflies on earth is the Monarch Butterfly. This butterfly grows from a tiny egg into a splendid caterpillar in just 15 days. The caterpillar then transforms into a beautiful chrysalis. Encounter these live caterpillars and butterflies and craft a milkweed seed ball for your backyard. Monarch Watch Conservation Specialist Debbie Jackson will share secrets on raising monarchs. Designed for ages 5 and older. The program is indoors, but dress for a short hike.
