Solar Eclipse 2017 Events Around Metro Detroit

Who is excited about the Solar Eclipse? To celebrate this amazing and natural phenomenon, here is a list of events going on around Metro Detroit the day of the solar eclipse:
- University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (at the U of M Diag)
- Ann Arbor District Library-Glasses will be provided
- Orchard Hills Athletic Club-Ann Arbor (Glasses are available for $4. Party is free to members and $3 for guests.
- Cranbrook Institute of Science-Bloomfield Hills
- Michigan Science Center-Detroit (Free solar eclipse viewing glasses will be provided first come, first serve.)
- St. Clair Community College
- Royal Oak First United Methodist Church-Royal Oak (Eclipse viewing party along with a Gleaner’s fundraiser)
- Lawrence Technological University-Southfield (Glasses will be provided from 12:30 to 4:00 PM.
- Southfield Public Library
- Heritage Park-Taylor (1 to 3 PM) Free refreshments and NASA glasses
- The Adventure Park at West Bloomfield-First 10 participants will receive solar eclipse glasses. Tickets for adults are $45. Ziplining is included in list of activities.
