Flight to Freedom Tours at The Underground Railroad Living Museum of Detroit
You are invited to experience a very informative, and transformational ‘Flight to Freedom Tour’ at The Underground Railroad Living Museum, located at the Historic First Congregational Church of Detroit.
The Flight to Freedom Tour is an immersive, ‘storytelling’ re-enactment of the original Underground Railroad passage that operated between 1840 and 1863. On the tour, the students will embark upon a simulated 1,000-mile escape to freedom from Oak Ally Plantation, Louisiana to freedom in Canada.
The Underground Railroad ‘Flight to Freedom Tours’ are available by reservation ONLY, Tuesday through Saturday, year round. Guests should arrive at 10:15am for tours which start at 11:00am.
