In the fall of 2020, Samantha of Samantha Shelton Ballet Training Programs is starting a day time dance program, with a focus on classical and contemporary ballet, for dancers who are homeschooled and/or online-schooled.
The program will be based at Adagio Dance company, 1659 W. Hamlin Rd., in Rochester Hills. Classes will run from approximately 10 AM to 3 PM and will offer classical ballet technique, pointe/variations, conditioning, contemporary ballet, and ballet history/choreography. The curriculum training program will run Monday through Thursday from 10 AM to 3 PM and Fridays from 10 AM to 1 PM. On Friday afternoons, there will be a rehearsal for the ensemble which will include learning classical repertoire, creation of new choreography and coaching for YAGP (if desired).
The exact schedule is to be decided, dependent upon interest and level.

SAMANTHA SHELTON: was trained at the Joffrey Ballet New York and in Michigan with Rosemarie Floyd.. Currently, she is a National Audition Tour Adjudicator and SI faculty for American Ballet Theatre. Most recently, she was invited as a guest artist to teach at the Houston Ballet. She has been a professor of ballet at several universities and colleges and is currently the director of Samantha Shelton Ballet Training Programs. Full bio at abt.org.
